Rock Drilling
Specialized trenchless drilling through hard rock formations where
conventional methods fail. JAG Enterprises has the equipment and experience to
complete utility installations in the most challenging geological conditions across the Mountain West.
- Overview
What Is Rock Drilling?
Rock drilling is a specialized trenchless technique used when underground utility installations encounter hard rock formations that standard boring or directional drilling equipment cannot penetrate. JAG Enterprises uses purpose-built rock drilling equipment designed to cut through granite, basalt, sandstone, and other hard formations common throughout the Mountain West.
The Mountain West presents some of the most geologically challenging terrain for underground utility work in the country. Volcanic basalt, fractured granite, and mixed rock and cobble formations are common across Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming — and require specialized equipment and experienced crews to navigate successfully.
JAG Enterprises brings both the equipment and the regional expertise to complete rock drilling projects on time and on budget — whether it's a single crossing or a multi-phase infrastructure project across difficult terrain.
